Website & API client

Privacy policy

This policy explains how HiFi Immersion handles information on this website and in its private HFI YT Localization client.

Effective and last updated: July 24, 2026

1. Scope and operator

HiFi Immersion operates this website and HFI YT Localization, a private desktop client used for the owner-managed HiFi Immersion YouTube channel. The client uses YouTube API Services. It is not offered as a public application and does not permit visitor accounts.

2. Website data

At launch, this website does not use advertising, analytics, tracking cookies, user accounts or contact-form databases. If you email us, your email address and message are processed only to respond to your request and maintain an appropriate record of the communication.

3. YouTube data the client accesses

HFI YT Localization may access:

  • The authorized channel’s identity and channel ID.
  • Existing video IDs, titles, descriptions, localization fields and publication-state fields needed to verify a safe target.
  • Existing caption-track identifiers, languages, names and status.
  • OAuth authorization state required to make owner-approved API requests.

The client does not access viewing history, private messages, comments, subscriber identities, analytics or Google passwords.

4. How the data is used

The data is used to confirm ownership and remote state, detect conflicts, produce a read-only action plan, publish approved multilingual metadata or missing subtitle tracks, verify the result and create an operational receipt.

We do not sell API Data, use it for advertising, build user profiles or use it for purposes unrelated to the HiFi Immersion channel workflow described above.

5. Storage and security

OAuth tokens are stored only on the authorized operator’s computer in access-restricted local storage. They are not placed in this website, public repositories or shared cloud folders. Local plans, snapshots and receipts are protected using reasonable administrative and technical controls. API requests use encrypted transport.

6. Sharing

HiFi Immersion does not sell or share YouTube user data with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Google and YouTube process information as required to authenticate the operator and provide the YouTube API Services. Their practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

7. Retention and refresh

Stored API Data is kept only as long as necessary for the authorized workflow. Unless a shorter period applies, API-derived snapshots are refreshed or deleted within 30 calendar days. Operational receipts may be retained for security and audit purposes, but any Authorized Data within them remains subject to deletion and refresh requirements.

8. Control, revocation and deletion

The authorized user can revoke this client’s Google access through Google Account third-party connections. A user may also request deletion by following our data deletion instructions.

Verified deletion requests are completed as soon as possible and within seven calendar days. If access is revoked through Google and we learn of that revocation through token validation, related API Data is deleted as soon as possible and no later than 30 calendar days.

9. YouTube and Google terms

The client’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy and YouTube API Services policies. Use of the client is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.

10. Questions and changes

Questions or complaints about privacy may be sent to hifiimmersion@gmail.com. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
